Stuck in a Snow Globe!

For the winter holidays, our students created their very own snow globe and are locked in!! Each of their photos are inside their snow globe doing something different (i.e. skiing, throwing a snowball, holding a cup of hot chocolate, banging on the glass to get out). They turned out super cute!! Take a look at them if you can join us at our Winter Party this week!!

Veterans Day Celebration

Many thanks to Staci Schultz for taking these wonderful pictures and sharing them with us! I am so proud of each and every student and all the hard work they put into this sweet presentation this morning. What a fantastic group of kids I am so lucky to work with each day!

Friday Games

Friday afternoons after some review in Math, we play games. This is always a favorite for the kids! Girls are usually free-drawing or playing board games, while the boys tend to turn to math apps!

Veterans Day

Check out what our students have been up to this week in preparation for Veterans Day!

Veteran's Day Acrostic Poems

We are three days into our Veterans Day unit and I have been SO impressed with how well they have been able to absorb the meaning behind this very special holiday. Students were divided into groups to create an acrostic poem with a word given to them that describes either the holiday itself or special gifts that Veterans provide for us. The five groups were America, Sacrifice, Bravery, Freedom, and Veteran. After creating their acrostic poem, each group mounted their poem to a piece of construction paper and decorated it to resemble more of Veteran's Day.

Array City

As part of our introduction to multiplication and arrays, the students worked hard to create their very own skyline building with windows designed in an array of their choice. The buildings were all placed side by side to create our class skyline. What a wonderful job they did!!

Arts Day!

The kids had so much fun visiting a variety of countries within the continent of South America during our Arts Day. They even got their very own passport! During our rotations, I was able to take a few pictures of the fun they took part in on Thursday of Arts Day week.
